Using Timex’s digital transmission the T5F001 protects the signal from interference by other heart rate users and
electrical equipment in close proximity. The Timex Digital Heart Rate Monitor incorporates the very latest digital
technology from Timex in conjunction with the fitness experts and personal trainers of the Ironman Institute. As the
world leader in sport timing devices, Timex has created a Digital Heart Rate Monitor that offers the digital accuracy
demanded by world-class athletes with the functions that anyone of any age could use.
Digital transmission allows the user to train in a gym environment within close proximity to other gym users who may be
using a heart rate monitor. With a heart rate monitor using analogue transmission it is possible that the user may
experience crossover interference, showing inaccurate readings of heart rate. Crossover interference is the signals for
two or more heart rate transmitters interfering with each other. To download the heart rate data to a PC software
package the user firs needs the Timex data recorder (more information on this product is available on request).
With the purchase of the 3-D GPS sensor (T5F891), Altitude, Speed + Distance functionality will be enabled.
